Data Deletion Instructions

Effective October 9, 2026

You can delete your The HMUA Society account and personal data at any time, whether you signed up with email, Google or Facebook.

Option 1: Delete it yourself (fastest)

1. Log in and go to Settings.
2. Scroll to Delete account.
3. Type DELETE and press Delete my account.

Your account is deleted immediately.

Option 2: Ask us by email

If you can't log in, email admin@thehmuasociety.com with the subject “Data deletion request” from the email address on your account (or tell us the name on your Facebook or Google account). We will confirm it's you and delete your data within 30 days, then reply to confirm.

If you signed in with Facebook

You can also remove our app from your Facebook account:

1. On Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings.
2. Open Apps and websites (under Permissions).
3. Find The HMUA Society and choose Remove.

Removing the app stops Facebook from sharing data with us, but it does not delete the account you created with us. To delete that too, use Option 1 or 2 above.

What gets deleted

• Your account, name, email address and profile photo.
• For HMUAs: your public profile, portfolio photos, listed certifications, services and service areas.
• Your saved favorite HMUAs, and reviews you wrote.
• Links to your Google or Facebook login.

What we keep

• Messages you sent stay visible to the person you sent them to, shown as from a deleted user, because they are part of that person's conversation history.
• Payment records are kept for as long as Philippine tax and accounting rules require, with the link to your account removed.
• Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
